Coxys Quilt

Hello everyone,
We hope you all cought our segment on coxys big break a couple of weeks ago.
Here is the quilt that was made on that episode! Its now been finished and even has been signed by coxy himself.
We are having a raffle to raise funds for the SES and CFA and the winner gets to take this a magnificent quilt home!
A little while ago Estelles son Brandon had a very serious accident and was airlifted to the alfred. The doctors feared the worst by thank goddness Brandon is well and doing fantastically! All proceeds of the raffle will be donated to these wonderful organisations as a thankyou for all the did that day, and all they do everyday.
Tickets are only $1.00 each and can be be purchased at the shop until the end of june. The draw will take place on the 5th July 2012.
so come in buy a ticket, as you gotta be in it to win it, and know your money is going to a very good cause.
who knows you may even win a piece of tv history!

Merry Christmas

well christmas is only a few sleeps away and we will be closing for the holidays onWednesday the 21st Dec. at 4.00pm
The doors will open again on Monday the 9th January 2012.
We will start the new year with a massive sale starting the first day we open and finishing on the 14th!
All kinds of bargans and fabrics will sell from a tiny $5.00pm.

a new begining

As most of you know by now,Raelene  has moved on and Estelle is the sole propritor of craftquarters now. Not much else has changed except for a few add on stafe.

 This smiley is Jill, she has been into quilting for about 10 years but has loved handstitching for much longer. All aspectso fo hand sewing excites her. Estelle and Jill  meet at the recent rawson retreat and instantly bonded. something about the same crazy sence of humour! She is the nicest person and would love for you to come meet her and say hello. Lets make her feel welcome to our crafty family.

This lady with the antlers is Chris, well we could write a book on chris but we will only stick to craft. lol
Chris is a traditional hand quilter with 25plus years experience, so there isnt much you cant find out about from her!
she loves embrodery and needle turn just to name a few.
Apparently Estelle offered her a seat 12 years ago when she had a brokenlet and they have been firm friends ever since.
So if you havnt already come in share a cuppa and get to know the girls, they will inspire you.

What a Perfect day

This quilt is the new Block of the month stitchery by Robyn Allan Waters. The quilt is exclusive to Craft Quarters.
Its an absolutly beautiful quilt. If you click on the photos they will enlarge. The detail of the stitcheries are a marvel.

Here are two different layouts using the dunkards path template. Dont they look wonderful.
Heather is the clever creator of these lovely quilts and she is pictured here with them.

 Now I dont want to panic anyone but its only 4 months till christmas. So to get ready for it we have and advent calendar you can make and reuse every year.

A sad farwell

Todays post is a sad one. Raelene has decided to leave Craft quarters to pursue other interests.( her kids).
Her happy smiley face and infectious laugh will be missed by all
So we say have a very happy life and enjoy all your endeavors.
Make sure you come in from time to time, and share a cuppa and a laugh with us all.

Winter is here, best time of year!

 Winter has come to Koo Wee Rup, but is always toasty warm at Craft Quarters!

While waiting to surprise Raelene on her birthday I spent time with the girls of Thursdays class

 'This quilt is by Lexi, she didnt want to appear on the blog but was happy to show off her lovely quilt.

 This beautiful piece is by Anne. she also wanted to remain faceless on the blog.

This lovely lady is also Anne, and she was happy to have her photo taken for the blog. Thank you very much ladies for sharing you work with us all. They look great dont they!
