end of winter sale

The girls at Craft Quarters have lots of nice warm flannell and its going out at 15% off. Now is the time to stock up and add to your stash!
They make lovely warm rag quilts, perfect to snuggle under on those cold winters nights.
Even though we are all preparing for summer, its good to know that we have plenty of stock at home for when the sewing bug bites.

The craft quarters mascot

This cutie is Amber. she belongs to Estelle, but has become the shops mascot. She is a great dog, who sits and watches and sleeps.
You hardly know shes around she is so quiet! Normally she will sleep in the middle of the tables, they are arranged in a square, but lately she is trying to find the sun. Amber is an elderly lady and her joints are not what they used to be. So the sun helps to warm them.   She is a great dog, and loves any attention you would like to give her, but will happily just be and not bother anyone at all.
Thanks Amber, you are a gem!

A beautiful creation by Pam

This gorgeous quilt was made by Pam as a gift for a wedding. You can see Pam in the second photo.
We wanted to do justice to the quilt and show off the colours so we all went outside, carrying two chairs, so we could get a photo in the sun.
Its a massive quilt, made in the king size. Its a french braid pattern, using a wonderful New Zealand fabric called paua. she has teamed this with the range called shadow play.
A truely magnificent Quilt.
Well done Pam

Meet the ladies

The firs lovely lady is Raelene. You will see her smiley face as you come into the store. If you are ever in need of a hug, Raelene is the one to go to.
The second lovely lady is Estelle, she is our teacher and shares her abundant wisdom with all! Including me who had never stitch a quilt in my life. She is very patient and cares about all her students.

These two wonderful women own and run the shop, which has become a haven for many a lady. If you need some me time, one of there classes might just be what you need. Although we all come in for our classes, many a time we all just pop in for a cuppa and a chat.
And at anytime we are most welcome!

Welcome

Hello and welcome to our new blog Craft Quarters. In the following days we will introduce ourselves and show you our wonderful range of fabrics and other bits and bobs we have to offer.
So sit down have a cuppa and enjoy the ride
